Although it is not well known, most of the aging of the scalp is caused by ultraviolet rays also known as “photoaging”.

The scalp is exposed to nearly twice as much UV radiation as the face.

Exposure of the scalp to ultraviolet rays accelerates scalp aging, leading to symptoms such as thinning, graying and hair loss.

In addition, as photoaging due to UV rays progresses, the scalp becomes hard and blood circulation deteriorates, resulting in new hair growing in thinner and drier, and becoming more susceptible to damage.
