Drying your hair properly using a hair dryer can make a big difference in how your hair feels. Using your hair dryer correctly is the secret to achieving shinier hair.

Basic steps
1: Towel dry your hair until no water droplets fall from the ends
2: Use hot air to dry it to 80%
3: Use cold air on your hair for a few minutes

The best time to dry your hair is within 30 minutes of getting out of the bath.
The longer you wait, the longer your hair will be wet, which can cause damage to your hair.

Aim to dry your hair with a hair dryer for no more than 10 minutes. If it takes longer than that, you may not have towel-dried it enough. After using hot air to dry your hair 80% of the way, use cold air for a few minutes to clamp down the cuticles and give it shine.

By revisiting hair dryer technique and combining with skillful use of leave-in treatments, you can prevent dryness and achieve shinier hair.
